This is a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale video production with a strong focus on short-form, social-first storytelling.
The Video Content Director will lead the creative and operational direction of a large in-house video team, setting standards, driving quality, and ensuring consistent delivery across all video output. The role requires a balance of creative leadership and operational excellence within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a large in-house video team across videography, editing, photography, and production
- Define and maintain creative standards, workflows, and production processes
- Oversee end-to-end video production from ideation through to final delivery
- Drive short-form, social-first video concepts tailored to digital platforms
- Ensure content is culturally relevant, on-brand, and platform-optimised
- Maintain high standards across storytelling, pacing, editing, and visual quality
- Manage high-volume content delivery with fast turnaround times
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and senior client stakeholders
- Guide teams through feedback, revisions, and approvals
- Continuously evolve video capabilities, formats, and production efficiencies
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in video production, content creation, or digital media
- Proven experience leading large creative or production teams
- Strong creative vision with hands-on short-form video expertise
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, formats, and trends
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with government or public sector clients is a strong advantage
