The Video Editor Intern is working directly with the video editor to support in editing video content for digital platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, and assisting in brainstorming creative ideas for campaigns. The ideal candidate has basic knowledge of editing software, a strong eye for detail, and a passion for visual content creation.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and label raw footage, keeping project files structured and easy to access.
- Review raw clips and assist in selecting the strongest takes for editing.
- Prepare timelines, bins, and sequences in editing software for smooth workflows.
- Support in assembling rough cuts and arranging clips into draft sequences.
- Add basic titles, subtitles, graphics, and transitions when needed.
- Repurpose content into platform-specific versions (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn).
- Assist in syncing audio with video and balancing basic sound levels.
- Export and compress videos in different formats, aspect ratios, and resolutions.
- Maintain and update the content library for future projects.
- Research social media video trends and suggest creative ideas for campaigns.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Good knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their video specifications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of pacing, flow, and storytelling in video editing.
- Enthusiasm to learn, adapt, and take feedback.
- (Preferred) Familiarity with After Effects or other motion graphics tools.
- (Preferred) Basic color correction and audio editing knowledge.
Internship duration is 4 months with possibility of extension.
