Opportunity Overview
Our client is a growing creative video production company delivering digital-first, social-first branded content for globally recognised brands across multiple platforms. With a specialist team and an impressive production portfolio, they are seeking a skilled mid-weight editor to join their post-production function and contribute across a diverse range of formats.
Role Description
We're looking for a Mid-weight Video Editor with motion graphics capabilities to own post-production projects from brief to final delivery. You'll collaborate with directors, producers, and remote creatives whilst contributing creatively and technically across social, branded, and long-form video. This role suits a platform-savvy, highly organised editor who is comfortable leading edits independently and engaging directly with clients. It offers meaningful creative ownership and strong growth potential within a fast-paced, talent-driven production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Post-Production Ownership – Manage end-to-end editing for assigned projects from initial assembly through to final delivery.
- Creative Collaboration – Work alongside directors, producers, and remote creatives to shape editorial direction and storytelling.
- Edit Leadership – Lead and guide key projects, offering creative input and stepping in on critical editorial decisions.
- Client Engagement – Attend and contribute to client meetings and edit sessions, communicating progress and rationale clearly.
- Project Communication – Keep the wider team regularly updated on timelines, project developments, and emerging challenges.
- Quality Control – Ensure all deliverables are on-brand, technically precise, and meet the highest production standards before sign-off.
Minimum Qualifications
- Portfolio & Storytelling – Strong portfolio demonstrating editing and narrative storytelling across social, branded, and long-form video formats.
- Adobe Creative Cloud – Proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects; confident working across the wider Adobe suite.
- Platform Awareness – Solid understanding of digital-first content creation and platform-specific formats (YouTube, TikTok, Meta, etc.).
- DaVinci Resolve – Demonstrable experience using DaVinci Resolve within a professional post-production workflow.
- Organisation & Workflow – Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple project timelines and technical setups independently.
- Communication – Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable liaising directly with clients and contributing meaningfully in meetings.
- 3D & Motion – Experience with Blender or other 3D software for advanced motion graphics and visual effects.
- Sound Design – Practical sound design skills to enhance overall post-production quality.
- Colour Correction – Hands-on colour grading capability beyond basic adjustments.
