The Video Editor is responsible for creating, editing, and producing high-quality video content that aligns with brand guidelines and project objectives. This role works closely with the creative, marketing, and production teams to ensure the timely delivery of compelling visual stories for various platforms, including social media, advertising, and internal communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging video content.
- Add graphics, animations, sound effects, voiceovers, and music to enhance video quality.
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to understand project briefs and brand requirements.
- Ensure consistency in style, branding, and storytelling across all video outputs.
- Optimize videos for different platforms (Reels, TikTok, YouTube, website, ads).
- Manage and organize media assets, footage, and project files.
- Perform color correction, grading, audio leveling, and other post-production enhancements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, editing techniques, and platform-specific best practices.
- Ensure timely delivery of all video projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Support in shooting when needed (optional, depending on the company).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio of previous work.
- Proficiency in editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, composition, pacing, and transitions.
- Experience with color grading and audio editing tools.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics is a plus.
- Photography or videography experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with social media content formats and trends.
- Ability to brainstorm creative concepts with the marketing team.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt editing styles based on brand tone and campaign needs.
