JOB PURPOSE
- Accountable for Corporate HSSE & BCM strategic planning and implementing of policies and procedures, create, optimize and sustain a healthy and safe work environment, to ensure compliance with applicable local and international laws and regulations.
- Lead HSSE & BCM management, crisis management, business continuity, emergency response services, and the development of contingency plans across Abu Dhabi Ports Group.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop the regulatory strategy and manage those systems and programs in order to meet AD Ports Group mission, vision & objectives.
- Ensure effective communication and liaison with sector regulatory authority, governmental and other regulatory agencies overseeing AD Ports Group activities and represent AD Ports Group in the national and international forums.
- Ensure all applicable governance, regulatory and compliance requirements relate to Abu Dhabi Ports Group activities, processes and services are fulfilled through policies and procedures and communicated effectively.
- Sustain high level of communication and consultation with HSE Managers in all Clusters and Business Units to achieve high performance levels with their teams.
- Establish and maintain an Emergency & Crisis Management System in Abu Dhabi Ports Group in compliance with Governmental legislations.
- Oversees the review and development of Clusters and Business Units standard operating procedures, employee training and other associated requirements.
- Leading the establishment of Corporate HSSE & BCM & Business Continuity Management objectives, annual action plan, budget, training plan, performance monitoring, incident investigation and reporting and other administrative activities.
- Leading necessary evaluations to advise on various threats which are likely to be encountered by AD Ports Group and associated with Corporate HSSE & Business Continuity Management mandates.
- Promoting and guiding the establishment of HSSE & Business Continuity Management procedures and guidelines which are required to streamline and safeguard business activities.
- Evaluating the performance measures by conducting periodic analysis to evaluate the business performance trends and support strategic decision making.
- Work closely with HR to develop and manage Personnel competency and development plans
- Lead the recruitment process for HSSE & BCM personnel in coordination with HR using the competency framework to establish baseline requirements, identify the competency, skills, experiences, and selection criteria applicable.
- Manage & Engage with direct reports in their Performance Development Reviews (PDRs), and review the PDRs of all other HSE personnel to ensure consistency and relevance;
- Work alongside HR to develop an employee wellness program to ensure all employees have an adequate working environment and appropriate support networks in place.
- Manage & Coordinate with HR and Corporate Performance to define a set of individual HSSE & BCM KPIs aligned to Corporate KPIs while setting individual key performance indicators of HSSE & BCM in Clusters/ Units.
Educational and Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HSE or equivalent HSE qualification.
- Advanced project management.
- Extensive finance and budgeting.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent prioritization and organizational.
- Excellent problem-solving.
- Lead Audit Certificate- ISO 45001,14001, 9001, 22301.
- NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate).
- Familiarity with national and international HSE standards.
Language Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, English and Arabic.
Years of Experience:
- A minimum of 10+ years experience in a similar role.
