Job DescriptionVisa Government Solutions (VGS) is part of the Commercial Money Movement organization within Visa.
We partner with governments worldwide as they pursue ambitious national and regional transformation agendas that directly impact how people live, work, and interact with public services. Our solutions span a broad range of use cases, including government disbursements, SME digitisation, government payments, citizens paying governments, urban mobility, tourism insights, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
Through VGS, Visa is developing differentiated propositions to support largescale government digitisation programs and enable more inclusive, digital economies across the world.
Key Relationships
This is a senior, influencing leadership role requiring the successful candidate to build momentum and drive VGS growth across the CEMEA region. Key relationships include:
Business development and sales resources across priority CEMEA markets
Country Managers (CMs) and Group Country Managers (GCMs)
Global Head of VGS Product and Solutions
Global Head of VGS Sales Enablement and Operations, and Head of VGS Strategy
Responsibilities
Own the growth, profitability, performance, and overall operation of one of Visa's newest and most strategic client verticals
Define and execute the regional vision and strategy for Visa Government Solutions, providing leadership and focus to deliver measurable results
Build and maintain strategic relationships with the most senior client executives and key government decision makers
Design and implement innovative, scalable solutions aligned to client strategic priorities
Build and strengthen team capabilities across sales, product development, project management, business development, marketing, and operations
Optimise the deployment and return on all resources supporting the client, including sales, product, marketing, technology, and operations
Lead the development of payments strategies in close partnership with internal Visa stakeholders and client executive teams
Take handson leadership in launching new products and services, and in expanding the penetration of existing capabilities, ensuring Visa solutions deliver clear client value and strong adoption
Provide vision and foresight that informs product and service definition ahead of explicit client demand
Identify opportunities for shared vision and digital partnerships that enhance client and citizen experiences
Establish, lead, and develop a highperforming account team, operating as a cohesive unit to pursue short and longterm opportunities
Engage senior Visa leadership in strategic, executivelevel discussions with key client stakeholders
Continuously monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity to enable proactive strategy development and execution
