VP – Midrange Platform Lead

Job Description

We are looking for a Midrange Platform Lead to support the delivery of midrange compute system-related projects. The candidate will be responsible for the design and strategic development of midrange compute platforms to ensure stability, scalability, and security. This role involves leading a team of engineers, ensuring system reliability, and driving innovation to support business-critical applications.

Responsibility:

• Develop and implement strategies for midrange platforms (UNIX, Linux, etc.).
• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of compute systems.
• Ensure compliance with financial industry security standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of midrange platform engineers.
• Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align platform operations with business goals.
• Optimize infrastructure performance, cost, and resource utilization.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience managing midrange platforms in the financial sector.
• Expertise in UNIX/Linux platforms, compliance regulations (PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR), and IT security standards.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Certifications such as RHCE, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, or VCP are preferred.
