We're hiring a VP of Digital Projects to take ownership of a group-wide digital change agenda across multiple business lines. This is for someone who can set direction, prioritise hard, run governance properly, and land outcomes not just manage a programme.
If you're in or ex management / strategy consulting (digital / tech / transformation) and you're ready to move from recommendations to real delivery accountability, you'll feel at home here.
What you'll own
- A portfolio, not a project: you'll run a pipeline of digital initiatives and make sure the right work gets funded, sequenced, and delivered
- Roadmaps that actually ship: translate strategy into a multi-year plan with clear milestones, dependencies, and measurable value
- Exec-level governance: lead the steering rhythm (boards/committees), keep decisions moving, and make progress visible
- Operational digital delivery: drive initiatives in environments like automation, control systems, asset monitoring where reliability matters and downtime is expensive
- Value realisation: define what success means (KPIs/ROI), track it, and course-correct early when things drift
- Stakeholders + partners: align senior internal stakeholders, manage vendors/consultants, and keep delivery standards high
- Growth events (M&A / new assets): support digital due diligence and help onboard new assets into group standards without chaos
We want someone with a GCC digital track record from:
- Energy, Oil & Gas, Utilities, or Telecom (this is key)
And ideally you're either:
- A consultant (strategy / digital transformation) stepping into industry, or
- An enterprise portfolio leader who's already been in the middle of complex, cross-entity delivery
What good looks like
- You're structured, commercial, and calm under pressure
- You can challenge senior stakeholders without politics
- You're strong on governance, but not bureaucratic
- You can talk tech with technical teams and talk outcomes with executives
Essentials
- Bachelor's degree (IT / CS / Engineering or similar)
- 10+ years in digital / IT / transformation
- 5+ years running complex programmes and/or portfolios
Nice extras (not mandatory)
PMP/PgMP, cloud/data/cyber/architecture certs (AWS/Azure, CISSP, TOGAF), innovation/digital leadership credentials.
