VP of Operational Excellence (Ports/Logistics)

We are partnering with a major Abu Dhabi based investment platform to appoint two Operational Excellence leaders into its Ports & Logistics platform. One role focuses on ports and maritime operations, the other on logistics, delivery and last mile.

This is an operating partner style role, not a traditional strategy seat. You will work directly with portfolio company leadership teams to lift operational performance, challenge how the businesses runs, and turn improvement initiatives into measurable results.

What you'll do

• Maintain clear visibility of operational performance across portfolio companies and spot where value is being lost
• Challenge and support opco management on productivity, asset utilization, service quality and cost
• Build KPI frameworks, benchmarking against leading global operators, and executive performance dashboards
• Lead and track improvement programmes through to measurable value realization
• Work alongside opco CEOs and operations leaders as a trusted, credible peer

What you'll bring

• Typically 7 to 14 years of experience, with hands-on operational exposure in ports, terminals, logistics, express delivery, last mile or transport
• A track record of delivering quantified operational improvement, not just recommending it
• Strong grounding in Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methods
• Industry operators, portfolio operations professionals, or consultants from operations and performance improvement practices with deep sector focus are all welcome
• The confidence and presence to engage chief executives and hold your ground on the numbers
