Role Overview
We are looking for a senior technology leader to scale and expand our financial technology platform as the company expands across markets, products, partners, and regions.
This role is suited for someone who can operate both strategically and hands-on when needed, but whose main strength is building systems, teams, ownership models, and engineering discipline that do not depend on a single individual.
Responsibilities
- Own technology strategy, architecture, engineering delivery, and platform operations.
- Ensure high availability, resilience, observability, and incident readiness across critical systems.
- Support the company's cybersecurity posture across ISIEM, SOC, DLP, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, penetration testing, threat modelling, monitoring, incident response, and security awareness.
- Lead the practical adoption of Agentic AI across engineering and technology operations.
- Strengthen security, compliance, audit readiness, access controls, data protection, and secure SDLC practices.
- Build and mature NOC/SOC capabilities, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, escalation, and post-incident reviews.
- Scale the platform and the technical team for geographical expansion, including multi-market readiness, localisation needs, regulatory expectations, and infrastructure scalability.
- Manage technical relationships with third-party providers of core services, including issuing processors, payment providers, banking partners, cloud vendors, security vendors, and integration platforms.
- Improve ownership models, documentation, Runbooks, SLAs, and operational accountability.
- Partner with Product, Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and executive leadership.
- Reduce key-person dependency and help build a reliable leadership structure across engineering and operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years Senior technology leadership experience in a roles VP Engineering/ Technology, Head of Engineering/Technology, or similar.
- Experience in fintech, specifically issuing, acquiring or banking is essential.
- Proven track record scaling reliable, secure, compliant production systems.
- Proven track record of the Agentic AI adaptation and productivity gain.
- Experience building engineering teams, technical operations, NOC/SOC processes, and delivery discipline.
- Experience with either ISO27001, SAMA, SOC2 and PCI DSS regulatory implementation and support.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, backend platforms, APIs, data systems, observability, disaster recovery and incident management.
- Experience working with third-party providers of mission-critical services.
- Ability to operate across strategy, architecture, execution, people leadership, and executive communication.
