Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner.
- Present menus and provide accurate information regarding menu items, ingredients, promotions, and available options.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them efficiently to the kitchen and beverage teams.
- Provide menu recommendations based on guest preferences and requirements.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring correct presentation and order accuracy.
- Regularly check on guests throughout their dining experience and respond promptly to requests.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the menu, ingredients, allergens, preparation methods, and current promotions.
- Drive upselling and suggestive selling by recommending appropriate menu items, additions, and promotions.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate matters to the Supervisor or Manager when required.
- Process orders and payments accurately through the POS system.
- Ensure tables and service areas are properly prepared, clean, organized, and maintained throughout the shift.
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar, cashier, and other service team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Support opening, closing, and shift handover procedures.
- Follow company SOPs, service sequence, grooming requirements, and brand standards.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Support promotional activities, events, and other outlet requirements when necessary.
- Build positive guest relationships and contribute to repeat visits and overall customer satisfaction.
- Previous experience as a Waiter or in a customer-facing F&B role is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills and confidence interacting with guests from different backgrounds.
- Fluency in arabic Arabic language to support guest communication and service requirements.
- Strong menu knowledge with the ability to confidently explain and recommend products.
- Good upselling, cross-selling, and suggestive selling skills.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and payment procedures.
