PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
This role will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by managing table assignments, supervising junior wait
staff, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations during service hours. The role requires strong customer service skills,
attention to detail, and the ability to handle guest concerns professionally while maintaining high service standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome guests warmly and ensure they receive prompt and courteous service.
- Guide guests through the menu and provide recommendations on food and beverages.
- Supervise and support wait staff to maintain consistency in service delivery.
- Ensure tables are set properly and the dining area is clean, organized, and well-presented.
- Take and relay food & beverage orders accurately to the kitchen and bar.
- Monitor food & beverage quality before serving to guests.
- Handle guest complaints or requests efficiently and escalate when necessary.
- Assist with training new wait staff and ensuring service standards are followed.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service.
- Promote upselling of menu items to maximize revenue.
- Maintain knowledge of daily specials, promotions, and restaurant events.
- Follow all hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
QUALIFICATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Diploma/Certification in Hospitality Management (preferred).
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Waiter, preferably in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of food & beverage service standards.
SKILLS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
