Warehouse Assistant (SMP)

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the role is smooth operations of the warehouse related to materials and spare parts receiving, stocking, processing, distributing materials and cycle count to facilitate a safe, uninterrupted, efficient, and cost.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Include the following. Other duties may be assigned)

Performs the activities, may include but not limited to:

• Performs loading, unloading and arranging of warehouse cargo and items.

• Performs moving of warehouse cargo and items.

• Complies with height, weight, and special handling requirements in stacking, moving, and arranging items on pallets

according to storage plans

• Identifies operational shortfall, maintenance, or repair needs. Maintains the warehouse in a neat and orderly manner.

Tags, assembles, stocks, and bins all items at assigned locations to ensure they are properly and safely stored and can be

easily identified and pulled.

• Reports warehousing issues in a timely manner.

• Performs activities to improve quality of logistics services.

• Performs cargo or material-handling security procedures.

• Takes periodic inventories. Checks the material description, quantity, physical condition, expiry date and the safety and

storage conditions of stock.

• Supports the department in incident or crisis management initiatives

• Assist in application of methods and techniques to manage time and temperature- sensitive cargo

• Perform cargo consolidation activities

• Assist in application of methods and techniques to manage dangerous goods

• Receives, inspects, and stores all warehouse stock. Records materials movement transactions in SAP on time.

• Performs all delivery activities, including use of forklifts and delivery trucks.

• Checks off-work hours material issue system and post Goods issue in SAP immediately without fail.

• Performs call out duties outside the normal working hours to issue material needed by end-users in emergency

circumstances after the regular working hours.

• Delivers Materials to JAMAA and PMCC Companies.

• Prepares Gate pass and Visitor pass for vendors to give entry to S-Chem to deliver materials. Escort trucks to Plant sites.

• Works with Inventory to maintain material data identified during physical handling of materials, like batch management,

Shelf-life data, documentation (Test certificates, COA, MSDS etc.).

• Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures to guarantee employee

safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.

• Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.

• Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.

• Performs any other relevant task as directed by lead/supervisor – warehouse operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

The academic qualification a minimum of High School.

+6 years of related experience.

• Must have exposure to ERP System – SAP or related.
