The Team Leader – Warehouses is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching agricultural inputs and outputs such as seeds, fertilizers, chemicals, feed, packaging materials, and harvested crops. The role ensures inventory accuracy, compliance with safety standards, and efficient movement of goods in line with NADEC's agricultural production cycles.
Strategic Contribution:
- Lead the annual business plan and targets and comply with the strategic agenda of the agricultural farm to deliver Nadec's vision and mission.
Leadership
- Direct the activities of the Warehouses team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures.
- Build and lead a motivated, engaged and competent team, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals.
- Serve as a role model to ensure employees awareness and commitment to NADEC vision, mission, values, and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated team, and continuously improve performance.
Budgeting
• Participate in the preparation of the functional budget and assess financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized.
Core Accountabilities
- Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee the daily activities of inbound and outbound stock movements for all agri-related goods.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for different categories like seeds, agrochemicals, and animal feed.
- Supervise receiving and inspection of incoming shipments and proper documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods to various farms and operational sites.
- 2. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate stock records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
- Monitor stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO practices to minimize waste and maintain product integrity.
- 3. Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce HSE policies for storage and handling of hazardous materials such as pesticides and fertilizers.
- Ensure that fire safety, pest control, and warehouse cleanliness protocols are followed.
- Maintain proper labelling, segregation, and storage according to regulatory requirements.
- 4. Staff Supervision and Development:
- Lead and supervise warehouse assistants, forklift operators, and support labor.
- Plan work schedules and assign duties based on priority and workload.
- Conduct training sessions on handling procedures, safety, and inventory control.
- Evaluate team performance and ensure discipline and accountability.
- 5. Coordination and Reporting:
- Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and agriculture teams to align material availability with production schedules.
- Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory movement, stock status, and warehouse KPIs.
- Communicate and escalate issues related to material shortages, damages, or delays.
- 6. Asset and Facility Management:
- Monitor usage and condition of warehouse infrastructure, forklifts, pallets, and storage racks.
- Report and follow up on any maintenance requirements or equipment breakdowns.
- Ensure optimal layout and space utilization within the warehouse.
People Management Accountabilities
Ensure that all subordinates have clear objectives, constructive and accurate performance feedback sessions formal annual performance appraisals, and individual development plans.
Policies, System, Processes and Procedures
- Manage the development and implementation of the Engineering policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas for improvement, to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Compliance Adherance: Ensure Employees understand and follow Nadec's compliance policies and legal obligations, act with integrity, report any violations, participate in training, and support audits or investigations to ensure ethical and compliant operations.
Change Management
- Motivate the employees and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering best practices.
- Ensure that all departmental reports and statements are completed timely and comply with local and international principles of governance and the organization's policies and standards.
Team Leader – Warehouses, will work in the assigned areas and might have to travel as and when needed.

Education and Certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Logistics, or related field.
Experience:
3-4 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in agriculture or FMCG industries.
