Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations in KSA, ensuring the efficient and safe storage, handling, and distribution of goods. This role involves managing warehouse staff, optimizing warehouse processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and coordinating with other departments to support the company's supply chain objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Management

  • Oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and storage strategies to maximize space utilization and optimize the flow of goods.
  • Manage the handling of goods, ensuring proper storage conditions, temperature control (if applicable), and adherence to safety and quality standards, especially for food products.
  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage the flow of goods within the warehouse to minimize handling and maximize efficiency.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of warehouse staff, including supervisors, warehouse operators, and other personnel.
  • Delegate tasks, set performance expectations, and monitor team performance, providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Ensure that all warehouse staff are properly trained on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Manage employee schedules, timekeeping, and attendance.

Inventory Management

  • Collaborate with the Inventory Control Supervisor to ensure the accuracy of inventory records and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Oversee the execution of regular stock counts and reconcile any inventory discrepancies.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to prevent stockouts, minimize waste, and ensure product integrity (e.g., FIFO/FEFO).
  • Monitor and manage the storage of goods, ensuring proper rotation and minimizing the risk of damage or spoilage.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure that the warehouse operates in full compliance with all relevant safety regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement warehouse safety procedures, including the safe operation of equipment, handling of hazardous materials (if any), and emergency response plans.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure that all safety equipment is in good working order.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and any other applicable industry-specific requirements.

Facilities and Equipment Management

  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse facility, ensuring it is clean, organized, and in good repair.
  • Manage warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, ensuring they are properly maintained and operated safely.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for facility maintenance, repairs, and equipment servicing.
  • Evaluate and recommend investments in new warehouse equipment or technology to improve efficiency and safety.

Performance Management and Reporting:

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations, such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, and warehouse efficiency.
  • Analyze warehouse performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to optimize processes.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational activities to the Supply Chain Manager.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, including Procurement, Logistics, Sales, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless coordination of the supply chain.
  • Communicate effectively with the Logistics Manager to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and optimize delivery schedules.
  • Work with the Procurement team to ensure timely receipt of goods and resolve any issues related to supplier deliveries.
  • Coordinate with the Sales team to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

EDUCTION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in warehouse management, with a proven track record of success in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control principles, and logistics processes.
  • Experience in the Food Service industry is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technology.
