Job Title: Supply Chain Services Specialist
Location: Jeddah
Employment Type: Full-Time
Scope of Work
- Work in a wide variety of roles within supply chain services teams to support operational efficiency.
- Check, document, and record all materials received by KAUST in compliance with chemical warehouse processes and procedures.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, regarding documentation, labeling, and warehouse protocols.
- Practice and promote safe work procedures, ensuring the safety of personnel, materials, and assets.
- Participate in safety training programs to contribute to creating a safer workplace.
Key Competencies
Non-Technical Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to handle and transport various materials, including chemicals, live animals, temperature-controlled shipments, and radioactive materials.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of chemical safety, transportation safety, and street chemistry safety.
- Experience in supply chain roles such as purchasing, expediting, material handling, and warehousing.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a related diploma is preferred.
Experience
- 24 years of experience in purchasing, warehouse operations, logistics, or any supply chain function.
Additional Requirements
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment and forklifts is an advantage.
