Job Description

About the Job:

The Warehousing and Material Flow Engineer ensures seamless material flow and packaging strategy across the plant, from inbound receiving to lineside delivery, enabling safe and efficient operations. This role drives daily operation execution, secures material availability, and leads packaging development and PFEP implementation to achieve OTIF (on-time, in-full), inventory accuracy, and lean operations

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operational Execution

  • Participate in cross-functional operations meetings to track key business results, coordinate changes, and act on deviations
  • Lead daily operations to resolve short-term material and schedule issues
  • Report operational scores, drive improvement, and act upon performance deviations

Team Leadership & Safety

  • Lead, coach, and develop teams to ensure effective shop floor operation & escalation tools
  • Conduct problem-solving for safety and quality issues related to handling/packaging

Inventory Accuracy & Compliance

  • Oversee inbound/outbound receiving, cycle counting, kitting and staging activities to ensure MMM process compliance and enforce FIFO
  • Ensure accurate material records through regular count process, variance analysis, and reconciliation
  • Implement and maintain MES/WMS processes to ensure real-time inventory visibility and accuracy

Packaging Development & PFEP

  • Review containers (racks) buy-off for internal, local, and overseas packaging and report improvement opportunities
  • Develop new packaging design and parts distribution strategy to eliminate waste and improve lean culture
  • Safely control in-house/local packaging development and maintenance process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field with 3-5 years hands-on experience in warehousing, supply chain, or transportation within automotive/manufacturing
  • SAP and WMS knowledge (advantage)
  • CAD software proficiency (AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks)
  • MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
  • Negotiation and situational management skills
  • Team player, self-motivated, resilient, adaptable to change
