We are seeking an experienced Waste Collection Manager to lead solid waste collection operations across Ras Al Khaimah, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant services that support a cleaner and more sustainable community.
About the Role As Waste Collection Manager, you will oversee the safe and efficient transport and disposal of solid waste — including household, industrial, infectious, medical, and hazardous materials. You will supervise field operations, manage collection schedules and routes, ensure regulatory compliance, and serve as a key point of coordination between the department, government agencies, and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the safe, efficient collection, transport, and disposal of solid waste, including hazardous and medical waste
- Supervise field operations, including equipment use, maintenance, and enforcement of waste disposal regulations
- Plan, coordinate, and optimize waste collection schedules and routes
- Plan, organize, and direct the work of supervisory staff
- Enforce compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Ensure fleet and equipment are properly maintained and operationally ready
- Partner with the Fleet/Workshop department on future fleet planning
- Drive public awareness initiatives and community engagement programs related to waste management
- Develop and refine operational policies, procedures, and manuals
- Monitor and report waste diversion to the Material Recovery Facility (MRF)
- Respond to and resolve community concerns and requests related to waste services
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field (Engineering, Business, or Logistics preferred)
- 10–15 years of relevant professional experience
