Job Description
Water waste Sales Engineer
A Water and Wastewater Sales Engineer drives the commercial growth of water treatment technologies. They combine engineering expertise with sales acumen to assess client needs, design optimal treatment solutions, and manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Proposals: Translate client requirements into robust proposals, including technology selection, process flow diagrams, mass balance calculations, and equipment sizing.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors (e.g., EPC contractors, consultants).
- Tendering & Estimation: Prepare commercial quotations, review technical specifications, and ensure proposals meet both profitability targets and regulatory requirements.
- Client Engagement: Conduct technical presentations, lead site feasibility assessments, and address client queries to close out sales.
- Project Handover: Collaborate with internal project engineering and delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from awarded sale to project execution.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Experience: Typically 5–8 years of technical sales experience within the water and wastewater industry, depending on seniority.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of water treatment processes, such as Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultrafiltration (UF), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and wastewater treatment chemicals.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Regional Requirements: In locations like the UAE and MENA region, a valid local driving license and prior GCC experience are typically required.
