One of our many projects, Azizi Venice, where Azizi is the Master Developer, has an approximate value AED 30 billion and is a mixed-use development located in Dubai South. The crown jewel located at the heart of the development will be Azizi Opera, a state-of-the-art opera house. Azizi Venice is planned to welcome over 30,000 visitors daily and Azizi Opera will become one of the most notable venues for high-caliber events in the emirate.
Responsibilities include
- Develop innovative water fountain and water feature designs for landscape, hospitality, commercial, and public realm projects, ensuring aesthetic integration with the overall masterplan and architectural vision.
- Prepare conceptual designs, sketches, 3D visualizations, and presentation materials to communicate water feature concepts to internal teams and clients.
- Produce detailed technical drawings including fountain layouts, sections, equipment layouts, piping systems, and hydraulic schematics.
- Design and coordinate water circulation systems, pumps, filtration systems, nozzles, and control systems to ensure optimal performance and sustainability.
- Coordinate with landscape architects, architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, lighting designers, and fountain specialists to integrate water features within the project design.
- Review and evaluate shop drawings, technical submissions, and material specifications from contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with the design intent and project requirements.
- Participate in design meetings, coordination workshops, and client presentations to support the development and approval of water feature designs.
- Provide technical support during construction, including site visits, inspections, and resolving design-related issues.
- Ensure designs comply with local authority regulations, safety standards, water management requirements, and sustainability guidelines.
- Assist in preparing technical specifications, design reports, and bill of quantities (BOQ) related to water feature systems.
- Stay updated with latest water fountain technologies, interactive water features, digital control systems, and sustainable water solutions.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
- Should have at least 8 years of proven experience in the design and delivery of water fountains and water feature systems, preferably in large-scale hospitality, mixed-use, and public realm projects in the Middle East.
- Strong expertise in hydraulic design, fountain equipment selection, pump and filtration systems, and programmable fountain control systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D visualization tools (SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, or equivalent) for design development, coordination, and presentations.
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination with landscape, MEP, structural, and lighting teams throughout design and construction stages.
- Knowledge of international standards and UAE local authority regulations related to water features, safety, and sustainable water management.
