We are looking for a Web Designer who can ideate, design, and support the implementation of compelling digital experiences. The role involves delivering design solutions for websites, mobile apps, kiosks, and other digital or multimedia installations.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, passionate applicant who is methodical and a continuous learner who invests time to understand new technologies and trends. From a technical point of view, you should be a passionate designer with a proven track record of designing intuitive user journeys and a critical eye for all the minute details that make great websites. You must have the ability to understand business requirements and effectively apply design systems.
You will constructively contribute to design critiques and enjoy working as a team to improve outcomes. The Web Designer role is for someone detail-oriented, obsessed with perfecting processes and results, who can work quickly and with quality, and articulately present design work both internally and externally to clients.
Responsibilities
- Research and collaborate to create initial concepts, refine directions iteratively, and partner with strategists, content creators, and programmers through to the final implementation
- Ideate design concepts, experiences, and solutions for websites, mobile apps, kiosks, and other digital or multimedia installations
- Develop user experiences based on the business, technical, and functional requirements
- Create prototypes with wireframes or fully designed screens
- Participate in presentation designs to clients, articulating the reasoning and intentional process behind the work
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of relevant, interactive experience
- A portfolio of proven high-quality web design work
- In-depth knowledge of user interface design processes and methodologies
- Formal design education or equivalent training
- A plus: certifications in design thinking methods or customer journey creation
Skills and Competencies
- High level of proficiency with Figma, Photoshop, and AI-based tools
- Deep understanding of web design practices and methodologies, responsive design and mobile optimization, and strong visual design expertise
- Passionate and resourceful to conceptualize web animations using current technologies
- Experience leading the design direction of a website or a mobile, desktop application
- Collaboration skills; great listener, and accept input from team members and managers
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Open to learning new methods, and processes and applying them continuously to create results
- This is a full-time position on site.
