Welder - Gas/Electric (Ready Mix)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Welder (Gas/Electric Welder) responsible for performing welding, cutting, fabrication, and repair activities using gas and electric welding equipment. The candidate should be able to interpret basic drawings, maintain welding quality, and follow safety standards while completing work efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform gas and electric welding on metal components, structures, pipes, frames, and equipment as required.
• Read and understand basic welding drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Prepare, cut, clean, align, and fit metal components before welding.
• Select appropriate welding methods, electrodes, gases, and equipment based on material and job requirements.
• Perform welding, brazing, cutting, grinding, and finishing activities.
• Inspect welds for cracks, porosity, distortion, and other defects and carry out necessary repairs.
• Operate and maintain welding machines, gas cylinders, grinders, cutting tools, and related equipment safely.
• Ensure proper welding parameters and maintain required quality standards.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, PPE requirements, and safe handling practices for welding equipment and gases.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the work area and equipment.
• Coordinate with supervisors, fitters, fabricators, and other team members to complete assigned jobs.

Mandatory Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder / Gas & Electric Welder in a manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial environment.
• Hands-on experience in gas welding and electric/arc welding.
• Knowledge of welding techniques, metal types, electrodes, gases, and welding equipment.
• Ability to perform cutting, grinding, fitting, and finishing operations.
• Basic ability to read drawings, measurements, and welding instructions.
• Good understanding of welding safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial/site environments.
