Adhere to OHSE legislations, standards and the Organization Policy's & Procedures.
Reviews and interprets technical drawings and standard operating procedures of works required for MIG/TIG Welding operations.
Makes appropriate use of proper tools, measuring instruments, gages, process sheets and operating manuals to assure the welding machine uptime and product quality output.
Established the designated jigs and fixtures to achieve best fitting of parts and materials for welding works.
Sets up the welding machines to assure the most effective and efficient welding process.
Performs the welding on parts and materials in the most skilful manner, e.g. horizontal, vertical or overhead directions.
Performs manual checks on welded joints/surfaces and applies grinding works as necessary to ensure product quality output.
Records and maintains proper storage of work-in-process materials to assure production continuity.
Reports immediately to direct superiors any problem encountered during the welding works.
Make suggestions of any process or methods improvement affecting the conditions of welding works
Maintains cleanliness and order on the designated work station before the end of each shift schedule.
Consistently produces accurate welding work to the required quality standard and as per the timelines.
Works within the limits of authority as defined by the line manager.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in welding / fabrication line.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to make decisions regarding products conformity to standards.
