About the Role:

We are looking for an HDPE Welder to assemble and maintain piping systems with high precision. As an HDPE Welder, daily tasks often include preparing pipe sections, aligning and joining them using fusion welding techniques, conducting inspections for weld quality, and troubleshooting any alignment issues or defects.

Qualifications:

• At least high school diploma or ALS certified
• Good oral and written communcation skills.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HDPE pipeline installation or fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of HDPE standards, SDR ratings, and welding techniques.
• Must be formally trained, required specialized welding certification.
• Proficiency in butt-fusion, electrofusion, and socket welding machines.
• Understanding of heating times, pressures, and cooling times.
• Ability to read and follow a welding procedure specification.

Task Description:

• Inspecting materials, maintaining tools, performing pre-welding preparations, and welding components according to specifications.
• Perform butt fusion and electrofusion jointing on HDPE pipes in accordance with project specifications.
• Set up, operate, and maintain specialized fusion welding machinery (hydraulic or manual) and tools.
• Prepare pipe surfaces by cutting, cleaning, and aligning pipes before welding to ensure proper fit-up.
• Instpect joints for quality, ensuring proper heating, cooling, and fusion pressures are met.
• Follow safety regulations, including wearing protective equipment and maintaining a safe work environment.
