Job Overview
Penta Global Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Welding Engineer (IWE / CWE Certified) to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong technical expertise in welding engineering, inspection, and quality assurance within major industrial or construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding activities meet project specifications, international standards, and quality requirements across both onshore and offshore operations.
Key Requirements
- Certification: International Welding Engineer (IWE) or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) Mandatory
- Experience: Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in welding engineering within large-scale industrial, infrastructure, oil & gas, or construction projects
- Strong technical expertise in welding procedures, inspection techniques, and QA/QC standards
- Proven experience working on onshore and offshore projects
- In-depth knowledge of welding codes and standards (such as ASME, AWS, ISO)
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and approve WPS, PQR, and welding method statements
- Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes
- Conduct welder qualification tests and performance evaluations
- Review engineering drawings, material certificates, and welding consumables
- Investigate welding defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Coordinate closely with QA/QC teams, site engineers, and third-party inspectors
- Maintain accurate welding records, logs, and documentation in accordance with project requirements
- Provide technical guidance to welding teams and support continuous improvement in welding quality and productivity
