Role Description The Welding Engineer will work full time on-site at MORCOS's production facilities in the 10th of Ramadan City, supporting the design, fabrication, and maintenance of confectionery and bakery production lines and equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing welding procedures, selecting appropriate welding methods and materials, and ensuring welded structures meet safety, durability, and performance standards. The role involves performing and overseeing welding inspections, coordinating with production and quality teams to resolve technical issues, and implementing corrective actions to improve weld quality and consistency. The Welding Engineer will prepare technical documentation, support training of welders and technicians, and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong hands-on skills in Laser Welding and Arc Welding for industrial equipment fabrication and repair.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Welding Inspection and Quality Control to ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable codes.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Metallurgy to select suitable materials, understand heat-affected zones, and prevent weld defects.
• Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering) or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, food-processing equipment, or similar production environments is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and engineering specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional production, maintenance, and quality teams.
