- Provide technical welding engineering support for project, fabrication and offshore welding activities.
- Support the development, qualification, implementation and maintenance of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and associated Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
- Provide technical expertise for mechanized and automated GMAW welding processes.
- Review project welding requirements, specifications and applicable codes and standards.
- Support welding procedure qualification activities, including preparation, testing, documentation and technical evaluation.
- Provide technical guidance on welding parameters, consumables, joint configurations, materials and welding sequences.
- Support the selection and optimization of welding processes and equipment for project requirements.
- Assist with setup, qualification and deployment of mechanized/automated welding systems.
- Troubleshoot welding-related technical issues and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor welding performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, weld quality and process reliability.

- Provide welding engineering support at offshore locations when required.
Essential
- International Welding Engineer (IWE) Diploma.
- Relevant engineering or technical qualification in Welding, Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical Engineering or a related discipline, where applicable.
The successful candidate should have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in welding engineering.
- Experience within the oil & gas industry is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience with mechanized and/or automated welding systems.
- Strong practical experience with the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) process.
- Previous offshore experience is mandatory.
- Knowledge of welding procedures, procedure qualification and welding-related technical documentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot welding process and quality issues in fabrication/site environments.
- Familiarity with relevant welding codes, standards and project specifications.
- Understanding of welding quality control, inspection and testing requirements.
- Experience supporting welding operations in demanding project, fabrication or offshore environments.
