Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Welding Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi. The Welding Engineer will develop and qualify welding procedures, select appropriate welding processes and parameters, and support production teams in executing complex welds. Daily responsibilities include reviewing engineering drawings, specifying welding consumables, overseeing weld trials, and troubleshooting welding issues on the shop floor. The role involves performing or coordinating welding inspections, monitoring weld quality, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications. The Welding Engineer will collaborate with project managers, quality control personnel, and clients, while preparing technical reports, documentation, and recommendations to improve welding efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Qualifications

Strong practical and theoretical expertise in Laser Welding and Arc Welding, including process selection and parameter optimization.
Demonstrated experience in Quality Control and Welding Inspection for various materials, joints, and welding applications.
Solid understanding of Metallurgy, including material behavior, weldability, and heat-affected zone characteristics.
Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field.
Familiarity with international welding standards and codes (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO) and related documentation practices.
Experience in industrial, construction, or fabrication environments, preferably in heavy industry or structural applications.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and specifications, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong focus on safety, problem-solving, and continuous improvement in welding processes and production workflows.
