Welding QC Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Welding QC Inspector position at Tekfen Construction's Jeddah Cluster Pipeline Project in Saudi Arabia.

The Welding QC Inspector will oversee and ensure all welding activities on the pipeline project are performed in accordance with project specifications, international codes, and quality standards. The role involves field inspections, verification of welding procedures, NDT coordination, and quality documentation to guarantee compliance and integrity of pipeline systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and inspect welding activities for pipeline construction to ensure compliance with project standards and codes (ASME, API, AWS, etc.)
• Perform and/or coordinate NDT inspections (RT, UT, PT, MT) at various pipeline stages
• Review WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications specific to pipeline welding
• Verify materials, consumables, and joint preparations prior to welding
• Document all inspections and maintain quality records in accordance with project requirements
• Identify and report nonconformities and ensure timely corrective actions
• Collaborate with QA/QC, construction, and client representatives on all welding quality matters
• Ensure all welding and testing activities meet HSE and quality standards

Qualifications:

• Technical diploma or higher in Welding, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering
• AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 certification (required)
• ASNT Level II in RT, UT, PT, MT preferred
• Minimum 8 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in pipeline welding inspection
• Preferably with previous Aramco project experience and CBT certification
• Strong understanding of ASME B31.4, B31.8, ASME Section IX, API 1104, 620, 650, AWS D1.1, and related standards
• Proven experience in pipeline QA/QC documentation and reporting

Tekfen Construction will provide food, accommodation, and transportation for a 10-hour workday. Foreign employees are entitled to 15 working days of paid leave every 6 months (twice a year), and the company covers round-trip flight tickets. Private health insurance is included.
