Job Purpose
To manage, maintain, monitor, and secure Microsoft-based services including Active Directory, Exchange, M365 (Intune, Teams, Azure AD, Defender), Azure Cloud, VMware, and virtualization environments.
Principal Accountabilities
Active Directory & Certificate Services
- Administer DNS, AD forests, domains, trusts, and replication.
- Perform upgrades and health checks on AD, Entra Connect, and Certificate Authority services.
- Implement and manage Group Policies, baseline configurations, and domain password policies.
Exchange Server Administration
- Deploy and manage Exchange 2019 and Windows Server 2022, including mailbox databases, DAGs, and transport services.
- Coordinate baseline reviews and configuration sign-offs with IT and IS departments.
- Manage Forcepoint Email Gateway.
Hybrid Infrastructure Management
- Design and implement hybrid Exchange environments (on-premises and Exchange Online).
- Manage Azure AD Connect and Entra ID for identity synchronization and authentication.
Windows Server Administration
- Deploy, upgrade, and patch Windows servers.
- Configure and maintain Windows Failover Clusters for high availability.
- Monitor cluster health and perform failover testing.
Azure & Microsoft 365 Administration
- Deploy, configure, and manage AKS clusters.
- Administer Azure resources (VMs, Storage, Virtual Networks, Application Gateways) via ARM.
- Manage M365 services: Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Planner, Power BI.
- Configure Defender ATP, Purview, and Intune for endpoint protection and compliance.
Governance and Compliance
- Enforce resource compliance with security standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend updates to governance practices.

Dimensions of the Job
- Subscription & AMC management for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- License compliance and tracking for Azure components.
- Invoice review against LPO and actual usage.
- Capex management as per trend.
Decision-Making Authority
- Evaluate systems based on business/project requirements.
- Provide solutions, recommendations, and preferred vendors during project procurements.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Microsoft Azure Cloud certifications
- Microsoft Certified Professional
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma
- Relevant IT certifications and trainings from major vendors
Experience
- 7+ years as a Windows & Cloud Administrator
- Strong experience in Azure Cloud and on-premises infrastructure
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex cloud environments
