Job Description

Windows Image Creation Engineer – L3

DXC Technology | United Arab Emirates | On-site – Senior Analyst II

Function: Modern Workplace – Modern Device Management

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Windows Image Creation Engineer – L3 to provide advanced engineering, automation, and technical ownership for Windows endpoint build, provisioning, and device-management capabilities within a large-scale Modern Workplace environment in the UAE.

The role will be responsible for designing and maintaining secure, standardized Windows endpoint configurations while providing L3 engineering support across Windows 11, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, SCCM/MECM, OS deployment, drivers, security baselines, and endpoint automation.

The successful candidate will bring deep hands-on endpoint engineering expertise and the ability to resolve complex deployment and provisioning issues while continuously improving automation, reliability, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Image & Build Engineering

  • Design, build, maintain, and optimize standardized Windows 11 enterprise images and endpoint configurations.
  • Own image engineering standards, reference builds, configuration baselines, and build lifecycle processes.
  • Integrate drivers, firmware, applications, security configurations, language packs, updates, and enterprise settings into approved endpoint builds.
  • Manage image versions and ensure configurations remain aligned with security and operational requirements.
  • Lead technical activities for Windows upgrades, endpoint modernization, hardware refresh, and image lifecycle initiatives.

Modern Device Provisioning

  • Engineer and optimize provisioning through Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, SCCM/MECM, and OSD.
  • Design and maintain task sequences, Autopilot profiles, configuration policies, deployment workflows, and provisioning standards.
  • Support transition from traditional imaging to modern cloud-based provisioning and device management.
  • Manage hardware compatibility, driver packages, firmware, and OEM-specific deployment requirements.
  • Support hybrid, Entra ID joined, and modern managed endpoint scenarios.

L3 Troubleshooting & Problem Management

  • Provide L3 support for complex Windows deployment, Autopilot, Intune enrollment, SCCM/OSD, task sequence, driver, configuration, and provisioning issues.
  • Perform advanced log analysis and root-cause investigation for recurring or high-impact endpoint issues.
  • Lead technical remediation of complex deployment failures and configuration conflicts.
  • Support major incidents, problem management, and escalations affecting endpoint provisioning services.
  • Provide technical guidance to L2 engineers and operational support teams.

Automation & Engineering Improvement

  • Develop advanced PowerShell scripts and automation for deployment, provisioning, configuration, validation, remediation, and troubleshooting.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual build activities and improve deployment reliability.
  • Standardize engineering processes and introduce repeatable automated solutions.
  • Maintain scripts, technical documentation, configuration standards, and engineering procedures.

Security, Compliance & Integration

  • Ensure endpoint configurations comply with approved security baselines, hardening standards, device compliance, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support technologies including BitLocker, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, Group Policy, and Intune compliance/configuration policies.
  • Work closely with application packaging, endpoint security, identity, network, infrastructure, and service-management teams.
  • Support application and configuration compatibility across standardized endpoint builds.
  • Ensure successful transition of new builds and engineering changes into production operations.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of Windows endpoint engineering, EUC, device management, or OS deployment experience, with advanced hands-on Windows image/build engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in Windows 10/11 enterprise deployment, image engineering, configuration, and lifecycle management.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, SCCM/MECM, and OSD.
  • Strong experience with task sequences, deployment profiles, driver/firmware management, configuration policies, and endpoint provisioning.
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience across Windows deployment, Autopilot, Intune, SCCM, enrollment, and device configuration.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and endpoint automation capabilities.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, Conditional Access, endpoint security, and device compliance.
  • Experience providing L3 escalation support and performing root-cause analysis for complex endpoint issues.
  • Strong technical documentation, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience delivering large-scale Windows 11 migrations, endpoint modernization, Modern Workplace, or device refresh programs.
  • Experience migrating from traditional imaging/SCCM environments toward Intune and Windows Autopilot.
  • Experience with co-management, cloud-native endpoint management, and Entra ID joined devices.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security technologies including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, BitLocker, security baselines, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Experience supporting multiple enterprise hardware OEMs and managing driver/firmware lifecycle.
  • UAE/GCC enterprise technology experience is advantageous.
  • Relevant Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, Intune, Windows, Modern Workplace, or equivalent certifications are preferred.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a highly technical L3 Windows endpoint engineer who can take ownership of complex image, deployment, and provisioning challenges rather than simply execute established build procedures.

The successful candidate should be comfortable designing and improving Windows 11 builds, Intune/Autopilot provisioning, SCCM/OSD processes, task sequences, security configurations, and PowerShell automation, while providing advanced troubleshooting and guidance to L2 teams.

The ideal candidate will combine deep Windows engineering expertise, modern device-management knowledge, automation capability, strong root-cause analysis, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
