Job summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Technical Office Manager to lead and manage the technical office department within our woodworks and furniture manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will oversee shop drawing production, material specification, cutting lists, and technical coordination while ensuring alignment between design, production, procurement, and project execution.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept approval to final delivery.

Main job duties:

  • - Lead and manage the Technical Office team, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
  • - Oversee the preparation and review of detailed shop drawings for furniture and woodwork projects.
  • - Ensure accurate material specifications, including wood, metal, finishes, accessories, fabrics, and hardware.
  • - Supervise the preparation of cutting lists and Bills of Materials (BOM) for production.
  • - Review and validate quantity surveying and cost-related technical data.
  • - Ensure proper conversion of design concepts into executable production processes and workflows.
  • - Coordinate closely with Production, Design, Procurement, Warehouse, Sales, Finance, and Operations departments.
  • - Manage project sample approvals, shop drawing approvals, and client technical submissions.
  • - Monitor technical compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • - Track projects technically from initial drawings through production and final delivery.
  • - Develop and improve technical standards, drawing templates, and documentation systems.
  • - Provide technical support to production teams to solve manufacturing challenges.
  • - Ensure continuous improvement in production detailing and material optimization.

Job requirements:

  • - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Arts, Architecture, or related field.
  • - 12+ years of experience in furniture factories or woodworks industry.
  • Minimum 35 years in a leadership or supervisory technical role.
  • - Strong expertise in furniture manufacturing processes and production methods.
  • - Advanced knowledge of shop drawings, cutting lists, BOM preparation, and quantity surveying.
  • - Strong understanding of materials, finishes, hardware systems, and installation details.
  • - Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • - Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
  • - Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • - High attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
