Workplace Safety & Health Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Officer to oversee safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture for a Cable Transmission Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all site activities comply with Singapore WSH regulations and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) policies and procedures on-site
• Ensure full compliance with the Singapore WSH Act and relevant regulations
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
• Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Monitor and ensure subcontractors comply with safety requirements
• Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and training sessions
• Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g. MOM) when required
• Maintain proper documentation of safety records, permits, and reports
• Promote continuous improvement in safety practices and awareness

Requirements

• Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM (mandatory)
• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or related discipline
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience in cable transmission or utility projects will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and practices
• Good communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment
