Finance & Cost Accountant

Role Summary:

We are hiring a Finance & Cost Accountant to own the day-to-day books and the production accounting.

This is a hands-on role, not a management position. You will personally execute the accounting work in QuickBooks Online and personally track inventory, work-in-progress and finished goods on the production side. You will work closely with the CEO and the atelier team.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance and accounting

Daily bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online entities accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, expense categorization.
Bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations.
Monthly close: accruals, prepayments and preparation of month-end financial statements.
VAT filings and supporting schedules in line with UAE FTA requirements.
Payroll entries and related reconciliations.
Maintaining a clean audit trail and supporting documentation for all transactions.

Cost and production accounting

Tracking raw material inventory, including purchase recording, valuation and reconciliation against physical counts.
Maintaining work-in-progress records: which pieces are in production, materials consumed, labour applied, stage of completion.
Monthly production close reconciling production output to inventory movements and ensuring COGS is recorded correctly.

Qualifications:

Five to six years of accounting experience.
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (essential).
Demonstrated experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting not just general ledger work.
Solid grasp of UAE VAT and FTA filing requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce. Professional qualification (CA, CMA, ACCA part-qualified or qualified) is an advantage.
Highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable owning month-end close independently.
Discreet you will handle confidential financial and client information.
Written and spoken English required.
