Our client, a leading multinational technology organisation, is seeking an experienced legal professional to join its regional legal team. This is a senior leadership role supporting business operations across multiple jurisdictions within Asia Pacific.

Reporting to the senior legal leadership team, you will act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing strategic legal guidance on commercial matters, compliance initiatives, and risk management while supporting business growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on a broad range of commercial and corporate matters across the region.
Review, draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements with customers, partners, vendors and strategic stakeholders.
Partner closely with business leaders to identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks while enabling business objectives.
Support the implementation and enhancement of legal processes, governance frameworks and operational efficiencies across the legal function.
Drive compliance initiatives relating to anti-bribery and corruption, competition law, trade compliance, sanctions, data protection and other regulatory requirements.
Manage contractual obligations, disputes and claims where required.
Lead and mentor legal team members while fostering collaboration across regional and global teams.
Work closely with external counsel and internal stakeholders on strategic projects and regulatory matters.

Requirements

Qualified lawyer with a valid practising qualification in a recognised jurisdiction.
At least 10 years of post-qualification legal experience gained from a combination of reputable private practice and in-house environments.
Strong experience advising on commercial transactions, contract negotiations and legal risk management.
Exposure to technology, software, SaaS, intellectual property and/or data privacy matters would be advantageous.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively within a complex multinational environment.
Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated experience leading projects, driving process improvements and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
