We are seeking a 3D Sports Apparel Mockup Designer with strong experience in CLO 3D to support the development of our sportswear collections. The role focuses on creating high-quality, production-ready 3D apparel mockups for teamwear and performance apparel, enabling rapid design iteration, internal approvals, and manufacturer-ready visuals.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role suited to a designer who understands both creative design and technical apparel construction.
Key Responsibilities
3D Design & Mockups
- Create realistic 3D apparel mockups using CLO 3D for sportswear products (jerseys, shorts, tracksuits, training wear, outerwear).
- Develop accurate garment simulations reflecting correct fit, drape, seams, stitching, and fabric behavior.
- Apply graphics, logos, colorways, and sublimation designs accurately to garments.
Apparel Development Support
- Translate 2D designs, sketches, or references into 3D garments.
- Build and adjust patterns within CLO 3D based on fit feedback.
- Prepare mockups suitable for factory communication, including sizing, construction, and visual references.
Collaboration & Iteration
- Work closely with the brand founder, design lead, and product team to refine designs.
- Implement revisions quickly based on feedback (fit, colors, trims, branding).
- Support multiple product SKUs and seasonal drops under tight timelines.
Deliverables
- High-resolution rendered images (front, back, side, detail views).
- CLO 3D files (.zprj) organized and labeled.
- Exported assets for presentations, catalogs, and manufacturer tech packs (visual components).
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Proven experience using CLO 3D (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of apparel construction, garment anatomy, and fit.
- Experience designing sportswear / performance apparel.
- Ability to work with patterns, grading concepts, and fabric properties.
- Familiarity with sublimation and cut-and-sew sports apparel workflows.
Design Skills
- Strong eye for proportion, realism, and detail.
- Understanding of team sports aesthetics and branding.
- Ability to follow brand guidelines while offering creative input.
Software
- CLO 3D (required)
- Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop (preferred)
Experience Requirements
- 2+ years experience in apparel design or 3D garment visualization.
- Prior work in sports apparel, teamwear, or activewear is highly preferred.
- Portfolio demonstrating CLO 3D garment work is required.
