AC / HVAC Technician

Position Overview

The AC/HVAC Technician will be responsible for leading all air conditioning and HVAC-related service, maintenance, repair, and installation work across residential and commercial properties. The role involves diagnosing complex cooling issues, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and delivering safe, efficient, and compliant services in line with UAE standards and customer expectations.

Technical responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including split units, ducted units, package units, FCUs, AHUs, and ventilation systems.
• Perform refrigerant charging, leak detection, pressure testing, brazing, compressor replacement, and advanced repairs.
• Install and commission thermostats, control systems, ducting, insulation, and HVAC equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance including filter replacement, coil cleaning, drain line flushing, and system testing.
• Perform electrical checks for HVAC systems (capacitors, relays, contactors, wiring).
• Ensure HVAC work meets Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and UAE safety regulations.

Leadership and supervisory duties

• Lead, mentor, and guide HVAC technicians and helpers.
• Allocate tasks and manage daily schedules.
• Ensure safety procedures and best practices are followed.
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance.
• Provide on-site technical training.

Operational responsibilities

• Complete job cards, service reports, and logs accurately.
• Assist with maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Manage HVAC tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and civil teams.
• Attend emergency breakdown callouts when required.

Health, safety and compliance

Follow all HSE guidelines and PPE requirements.

Identify and report hazards.

Ensure refrigerant handling compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

Technical Diploma/Certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 2 years UAE experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Soft Skills:

Good communication and customer handling skills.

Time management and task prioritization.

Leadership and teamwork.

Additional Advantages:

Valid UAE driving license.

F-Gas or refrigerant handling certification.

Experience with duct fabrication.
