Job Description
Purpose: Undertake all accounting activities and ensure accounting transactions are recorded promptly and properly.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Ensure all accounting transactions are completed effectively and efficiently.
Review statements to ensure accountability and accuracy.
Ensure that all accounting records and supporting documents comply with management requirements and provide an
easily auditable record.
Regularly review accounting books, ledgers, statements, and systems to keep up to date and to issue timely reports,
as required.
Make best-practice recommendations to management and support the development and implementation of effective
accounting policies and procedures.
Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits.
Follow best practices for accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions to ensure a healthy cash flow cycle.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for the company bank accounts and resolve long-outstanding items.
Support internal and external audits, as required.
Perform other duties as required by the Chief Accountant.
Ensure that standards of quality and quantity of work are met and support the achievement of company strategic
goals and objectives.
