Job Description

We are looking for a detailoriented and experienced Accountant to manage the full accounting function of our organization. This role will support KSA-based operations and is remote, candidates based in Egypt. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective accounting operations related to real estate, contracting, and construction activities.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping

  • Compile and analyze accounting information to prepare entries to account and document business transactions including disbursement orders, payment orders, petty cash, cash deposits, and transfers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records of all transactions.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Prepare and process invoices and payment documentation.
  • Record revenue, expenses, payroll entries, and other accounting documents.
  • Prepare transfers and cash payments related to administrative and operational expenses.
  • Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts (deductions, accruals, other expenses).
  • Analyze payroll expenses and investigate variances.
  • Accurately update and log financial data into the accounting system.
  • Perform adhoc accounting duties as assigned by the Direct Manager.

Account Reconciliation

  • Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations.
  • Manage and process PostDated Checks (PDCs) and handle returned cheques with proper followup.
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.

Financial Reporting

  • Assist in Preparing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements accurately in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits; provide required documentation.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Prepare documentation for tax filings in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.

Process Improvement & Internal Controls

  • Continuously improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA are a strong advantage.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. in Real Estate, Construction, or Contracting Industry.
  • Prior handson experience in contracting/construction business accounting is essential.
  • Strong practical knowledge of bank guarantees and bonding instruments.

Language Skills

Proficiency in English and Arabic
