The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day financial transactions: invoicing, receipts, payments, petty cash
- Prepare monthly financial reports, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- Handle VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations
- Assist with AML documentation, transaction monitoring, and KYC reviews
- Reconcile bank statements and oversee payment tracking
- Support real estate transactions: escrow reports, commission payments, service charge reconciliation (a plus)
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents
- Maintain up-to-date records in accounting software (e.g., Zoho, QuickBooks, Xero)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of UAE-based experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Knowledge of AML requirements and compliance documentation
- Experience in VAT filing and financial reporting in the UAE
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality
- (Preferred) Real estate experience or background in handling developer/client transactions
