Accountant - financial services background

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated accounting professional to maintain and interpret all company financial records.

As a go-to financial expert, the accounting professional will help identify areas for streamlining processes and achieving greater efficiencies while assisting with the smooth daily operations of our finance department.

Requirements:

Record all the financial and accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger

activities in a timely manner in SAP.

Support finance team in preparation of monthly management accounts and annual

financial statements including month and year end closing activities.

Process payments, issue invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable.

Examine financial statements and records to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Support in preparing quarterly VAT/TAX Filling.

Help establish company best practices related to accounting.

Requirements:

At least 3-5 Years experience in handling all finance and accounting functions in ERP

environment preferably SAP.

Skills: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting, business accounting, or finance and full or part professional qualifications such as CA/ACCA/CPA will be added advantage

Significant experience with office productivity applications specially in MS excel, with a strong

aptitude for learning new systems and approaches

Knowledge of standard accounting and bookkeeping principles and best practices and basic

accounting principles IFRS and UAE VAT law.

Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities at the same time, whether working independently

or as part of a team

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of company financial information
