International Energy Resources FZCO (IER FZCO) is an independent aftermarket provider of spare parts and MRO solutions for gas turbines and rotating equipment serving the power generation and oil & gas sectors, headquartered in Dubai, UAE.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for a General Accountant with 13 years of experience.

The Accountant will support day-to-day finance operations, including accounting entries, reconciliations and month-end processes, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulatory requirements. The role offers exposure to real operational accounting within a structured, high-performing finance team and is ideal for someone looking to strengthen core accounting skills and grow professionally.

Key responsibilities include:

• Posting day-to-day accounting entries and maintaining accurate ledgers
• Bank, supplier and inter-company reconciliations
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable support
• Assisting with VAT compliance, audit schedules and statutory documentation
• Supporting month-end closing and financial reporting
• Maintaining accounting records in ERP/accounting systems and ensuring data accuracy

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (journals, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software / ERP systems
• Experience with Odoo will be strongly preferred
• Good working knowledge of Excel
• Basic awareness of UAE VAT and compliance environment
• High attention to detail with strong reconciliation skills
• Good organizational and time-management abilities
• Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Experience in manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, or industrial environments is an advantage
