Role Overview
The Senior Associate – Finance will play a key role within Lunate's Finance team, supporting core accounting, consolidation, and tax activities across the group. The role is suited to a Big 4–trained accountant with strong technical foundations, hands-on execution capability, and the confidence to contribute to senior-level reporting, including board materials.
This position offers broad exposure across financial reporting, group consolidation, and stakeholder-facing outputs in a fast-paced, high-quality investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts in accordance with IFRS (or applicable standards)
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and closing activities
- Support statutory audits and act as a key point of contact for external auditors
Group Consolidation
- Perform group-level consolidations across multiple entities and investment structures
- Ensure accurate intercompany accounting, eliminations, and reconciliations
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related disclosures
Tax & Compliance
- Support corporate tax, VAT, and other regulatory filings in coordination with external advisors
- Assist in monitoring tax positions, provisions, and compliance timelines
- Contribute to tax-efficient structuring discussions from an accounting perspective
Board & Management Reporting
- Prepare financial inputs for board decks, investment committee materials, and senior management reporting
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency of financial data presented to boards and stakeholders
- Assist in responding to board and senior leadership queries on financial performance and positions
Process Improvement & Controls
- Support the enhancement of finance processes, controls, and reporting frameworks
- Contribute to documentation of policies and procedures
- Assist with ad-hoc finance projects as the platform continues to scale
Qualifications & Experience
- Big 4–trained accountant (Audit or Accounting Advisory background preferred)
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
- 4–7 years of relevant experience, including post-qualification exposure
- Strong experience in accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with high attention to detail
- Comfortable working with complex group structures
- Clear communicator, able to translate financial data into board-ready outputs
- Proactive, hands-on, and able to work effectively in a lean, high-performing team
- Strong Excel skills; experience with consolidation systems is an advantage
