Accountant

Oleum Energy FZC is expanding and we are looking for a qualified Accountant to join our growing energy trading and logistics team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals and experience supporting trading, operational, and financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate books of accounts (GL, AR, AP)

Prepare monthly and annual financial statements

Reconcile bank accounts, suppliers, and customers

Handle accounting for commodity trades, invoices, and adjustments

Track operational costs (freight, storage, demurrage, logistics)

Prepare VAT returns and ensure UAE VAT compliance

Support audits, banking, and financial reporting

Monitor cash flow and assist management with financial analysis

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience

Minimum 35 years of accounting experience

Experience in trading, energy, oil & gas, shipping, or commodities is a strong advantage

UAE experience preferred

Arabic speaker preferred
