Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing financial statements. Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and cash accounts, monitoring expense records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role will also involve assisting with budgeting, cost tracking for IT projects, and preparing reports for management to support decision-making. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies, and collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial data. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Maḩallah al Kubrá.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in financial accounting, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliation.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid knowledge of spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel).
• Ability to prepare financial statements, management reports, budgets, and cost analyses with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
• Experience in an IT, technology, or services environment is an advantage, as well as familiarity with project-based cost tracking.
