The Tires Group Sector is responsible for tire sales worldwide. Within the Business Area EMEA and with MENA locations in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Morocco, we serve partner network, our customers by selling multi-brand passenger light vehicle tires, truck tires and specialty tires in over 20 countries of the region
ABOUT THE POSITION
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Administration
- Oversee all accounting activities for CME, within corporate policies and guidelines
- Supervising daily Accounting functions. (Accounts Payable, Cash Management, General Ledger, Journals, Cycles etc)
- Function as SAP Key-User for FICO Module and ensure that accounting information in SAP is accurately and timely processed compliant to IFRS Regulations
- Design the accounting administration organization for CME and implementation of internal controls, in accordance with the internal (corporate) guidelines (FRM) and applicable legal requirements regarding financial reporting and accounting.
- Creating and Monitoring a Framework for efficient and consistent (financial) business control, steering and accounting information.
Management Information & Reporting
- Monitor and oversee the Month End Closing process
- Ensure Management is correctly and timely informed and is supported in financial management decision making.
- Follow through the accuracy and integrity of financial data and provide insights at request or at own initiative regarding financial information by means of periodical and ad hoc reports, based on reporting guidelines such as FIRE
- Provide periodical quantitative reports regarding Income Statement, Balance Sheet, according to defined formats and Continental's procedures and IFRS
- Ensure Financial reporting is accurate and timely and according to local legislation and corporate guidelines and procedures.
People Management
- Attract, lead, coach, appraise and develop employees and stimulate talent (management) within the Accounting Department
- Function as a role model within the organization and for the own team and support team in Controlling and Credit
- Structure the team so that they are effective to achieve results and engaged to realize the team objectives
Financial Audit & Tax
- Coordination with statutory auditors of all group companies for interim & annual audits in line with IFRS guidelines
- Resolving major queries relating to internal / statutory audits.
- TAX Functional Lead and primary responsible for TAX Compliance and act as main point of contact with external consultant and FTA
Treasury
- Supervise in the Teams monitoring of Cash flow on a monthly basis and determining cash requirements.
- Oversea the planning & forecasting of all supplier payments and ensuring on- time payments subject to funds availability.
- Monitor and control the banking activities of the organization. Explore potential opportunities to reduce financial cost, explore and renew banking facilities.
- Coordinating with banks & managing multiple bank accounts
Legal Matters (Support)
- Understand business development requirements and coordinate with specialist in-house and external lawyers
- Optimize legal solutions and negotiate with stakeholders for challenges faced by Commercial Teams
- Oversea corporate legal matters together with Shareholders office, local Public Relationships Officer Organization and DMCC
Continuous Improvements
- Analyze, develop, implement and/or optimize work processes, techniques and systems, and projects either by own, or of the accounting teams initiative or from other departments
- Implement Effective and efficient processes, techniques and systems that allow the achievement of relevant internal and commercial objectives of CME
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
Accounting
Advance knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Proficiency in ERP Accounting Software SAP with FICO Module
Knowledge in Analytical Softwares such as Advanced Excel, Power BI, Robots Process automation

Education / Certification
Certified Accounting Professional (ACCA/CPA/CMA/CIMA) - Preferable
Masters or Bachelors Degree in Finance - Mandatory
Professional Experience
5-8 Years Experience in Accounting
Project and/or Process Experience
Ability to manage complex projects, consult with stakeholders
Leadership Experience
Experience in dealing with direct reports, handling recruitment, employeedialogues,mentoring, coaching etc
Intercultural / International Experience
Worked in a multi-cultural environment- ability to respect and tolerate all cultures, race, gender without bias
Legal Matters
Basic Knowledge of Laws in Middle-East, Export Control and Compliance
Ability to understand commercial business models to translate into legal concept
Project and/or Process Experience
Nice to have - Ability to manage complex projects
Leadership Experience
A plus
Intercultural / International Experience
With experience in working diverse environment is highly preferred.
Systems
Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and PBI Tools.
Experience of SAP systems
