Roles & Responsibilities
- Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting
- Oversee full-cycle accounting including ledger entries, trial balances, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flows in line with IFRS and UAE financial standards. Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
- Inventory & Cost Management (Gold/Jewellery Specific)
- Handle inventory valuation and cost allocation, monitor gold movements, compute product costs, and analyse loss/gain variations relevant to manufacturing or trading operations.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare detailed financial reports, variance analyses, and management dashboards to aid strategic decision-making.
- Compliance & Audits
- Ensure adherence to UAE regulations, VAT filings, internal control standards, and coordinate both internal and external audits.
- System Implementation & Process Optimization
- Manage and improve finance systems like Wingold Next, ERP, or Tally; drive automation and streamline accounting workflows to improve efficiency.
- Team Leadership & Training
- Supervise, coach, and develop the finance team to maintain accuracy and elevate performance standards.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (Advanced degree/MBA preferred).
- Industry experience: At least 5 years in accounting roles within the gold, jewellery, gemstones, or diamond
- Fluency in English is mandatory
- Must be available in UAE
