About Your Team

This role sits within the Finance Department and reports directly to the Deputy Head of Finance. The team partners closely with project, commercial, and operational stakeholders to ensure strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and effective cost management across the business. It focuses on delivering insight-driven analysis, improving processes, and supporting strategic objectives.

Your Role

As a Finance Business Partner, you will:

  • Prepare, monitor, and update project and departmental budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct variance and cost analysis, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions.
  • Analyse financial performance and ensure alignment with approved budgets and business objectives.
  • Produce accurate financial reports and dashboards for leadership review.
  • Maintain data integrity within ERP systems such as CMiC.
  • Collaborate with project and commercial teams to drive cost efficiency and process improvements.
  • Support audits, financial reviews, and internal control compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial planning and reporting processes.
  • Promote ESG practices and support sustainability initiatives within the business.
  • Lead or support innovation initiatives to enhance workflows and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and provide clear reporting on financial risks and opportunities.
  • This role is full time and follows a Monday to Friday work week, in line with corporate functions.

    What We're Looking For

    Experience: 5+ years of experience in finance, preferably within construction, engineering, or project-based environments.

    Knowledge:

    • Strong financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting expertise.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., CMiC).
    • Solid understanding of financial reporting, cost control, and performance analysis.

    Skills:

    • Strong business partnering and stakeholder management capabilities.
    • Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to present complex financial data clearly and concisely.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    Desirable:

    • Experience in complex, project-driven organisations.
    • Familiarity with financial performance management in construction environments.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
    • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA preferred.
