Job Description

The Acquiring Sales Senior Officer is responsible for supporting merchant acquisition activities, managing sales pipelines, and ensuring smooth onboarding and activation of merchants. The role contributes to revenue growth through targeted merchant acquisition and effective relationship management across assigned segments.

Responsibilities :

Merchant Acquisition & Sales Execution

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new merchants across targeted categories.
  • Conduct sales pitches, product demos, and solution discussions aligned to merchant needs.
  • Maintain a healthy and updated sales pipeline and track progress against targets.
  • Support execution of acquiring sales strategies and revenuegrowth initiatives.

Onboarding & Activation

  • Coordinate with operations and onboarding teams to ensure timely merchant setup, documentation completeness, and SLA adherence.
  • Follow up closely on merchant activation, ensuring successful golive and firsttransaction execution.

Relationship Management

  • Manage assigned merchant portfolios, addressing operational issues and ensuring excellent service levels.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to identify upsell or crosssell opportunities.
  • Maintain continuous engagement to drive retention and reduce merchant attrition.

Market & Internal Collaboration

  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities.
  • Work closely with product, operations, and marketing teams to ensure aligned gotomarket execution.
  • Provide merchant feedback and insights to support product enhancement and business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent.
  • minimum of 24 years of experience in payments, merchant acquiring, fintech, or B2B sales.
  • Strong understanding of POS, ecommerce payment solutions, and merchant lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage pipelines, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
