Job Description:
Reporting to the R&D Manager Middle East, this role sits at the intersection of creation, analysis, and quality, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance of fragrance compositions developed for the regional market.
Main responsibilities:
Analytical Expertise:
- Analyze and interpret fragrance compositions and GC-MS techniques
- Identify and quantify raw materials within formulas to support duplication, reformulation, or quality verification.
- Fragrances formula creation through analytical interpretation and contribute to creative projects.
- Contribute to update GCMS library
Creative & Technical Collaboration:
- Provide analytical and technical support for formula optimization and creative interpretation.
- Create or adapt fragrance formulas based on analytical insights and customer briefs across multiple categories.
- Participate in sensory evaluations and olfactive panels to support creative development.
Cross-Functional Support:
- Collaborate in the resolution of technical or quality issues involving fragrance formulations.
- Participate in internal or client presentations.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Chemistry and perfumery field, with experience in fragrance formulation or analytical chemistry.
- 3+ years of experience in GC-MS analysis skills for fragrance compositions.
- Proven command of chromatographic and spectrometric techniques (GC, GC-MS).
- Good understanding of olfactive language, fragrance structure, and formulation principles.
- Rigorous, methodical, and scientifically curious, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, comfortable in a multicultural environment.
- Fluent English required; Arabic would be a plus.
